If the weather cooperates, it will be another fantastic Ghent summer with numerous events in and around the city. Yalo, thanks to its central location, is the ideal base to enjoy all that Ghent has to offer.
In early July, we will host world stars from the jazz scène with a completely revamped “Gent Jazz” (July 5 to 20). Among others, Diana Krall, Nile Rodgers of Chic, AIR, Gabriel Rios, and Jamie Cullum will take the stage at the Bijloke. How about a dinner at Yalo before the concert or an after-drink at our bar with a good night’s sleep in one of our rooms after the concert?
In mid-July, of course, the ‘fieste der fieste’ takes place: Gentse Feesten (July 19 to 28). Yalo is always a central resting point in the festive hustle and bustle to have a relaxed aperitif – on our rooftop if the weather is good – or enjoy a dinner before diving into the festive night. Don’t drink & drive, so consider spending a night with us after an evening at the Gentse Feesten. All our rooms are 100% soundproof, so there is no noise from the street.
A long weekend in Ghent around July 21 or August 15? We still have many rooms available. Maybe the Patersholfeesten (August 9 to 11) are also a good idea? Come and sleep, drink, or eat before or after the festivities. Anyway, even without events, Ghent is worth wandering through, shopping, or making a cultural visit. We certainly expect you this summer!
